Mills Gaming Nights
Most months we have gaming nights on the second Saturday of the month. Guests are not required to play games but encouraged; we try to have good conversation as well.
Games that we have played recently include Power Grid (we have all the expansions for it, both the boards and the newer plant deck), Agricola
, Ticket to Ride: Europe (mainly with the 1912 expansion set lately), Stone Age, Dominion, and most recently, Alien Frontiers.
Alien Frontiers is a brand new worker placement game (but with dice, even though it doesn't work like a lot of other games involving dice) from Clever Mojo Games. We were involved in the playtesting and loved it, and became involved with the Kickstarter program to help make sure the creators were able to come out with an initial run of 1000 games to sell. I don't know how efforts are coming along for the second printing but so far the reviews have been positive and people are really liking it, from what I have heard all the stores that were able to get copies of the first run quickly sold out.
Guests who attend our game nights are welcome to bring their own games. Just bear in mind that a game that takes two hours to learn and eight hours to play may not go over that well if you show up late and the people you get into the game have to leave at 2:00 or 3:00 am.
Game nights start at 6:00 pm unless otherwise specified and are usually potluck, we appreciate anything you can bring.
December 4 (we moved the date up to the first Saturday for December, ask us if you're curious and we might tell you why)
