William D. Duckworth (1845-1896)

David Duckworth died in Posey County ca. 1847. Nancy remarried, this time to William Barton on 2 March 1848 in Posey County. They had the following children:

Nancy and her second husband William Barton first show up in the 1850 census in Robinson Township, Posey County, Indiana, USA. At that time they had Louisa, Samuel and Wilson Barton living with them from William's first marriage, Nancy's son William Duckworth from her first marriage, their son Job, and William's brother Job as well. As of the 1860 census, William and Nancy were still living in Robinson Township, Posey County, Indiana, USA. William's daughter Louisa was gone, married to Martin Warthen. Wilson, Samuel, son Job, and William Duckworth were still there, along with new additions Mary and Elizabeth. As well, two of William's cousin Lucretia's sons were temporarily staying with them, Virgil and Fielden Mills (although they were erroneously referred to as Bartons in the census).
