To add a user template, simply create a new user record with a user code of three asterisks. Once you have created this user code, customize the user preferences and data entry defaults to match how you want the preferences to be set up for any new user records you create.
As you would for any other kind of template record, do not put any user specific information within the user template (for example, the first name field should either be first or blank, the last name field should be blank or last, the user title should be blank, etc.)
