These searches look for possible duplicate people in different ways. The first two work by names and dates and the second two work by plot locations. All of the searches will only display one of the two names, but that will be a start in terms of determining which records are actual duplicates.

Using either of the first two searches determine possible duplicates by searching off the names and dates. Using the second two searches determine possible duplicates by searching the plot location.

These searches will not find every possible duplicate in the database, but they will help find the low hanging fruit and identify most of the possible duplicates. If the database is ever 100% duplicate free I will be most amazed - and very gratified!

There are an additional two searches I wrote, one to identify find a grave memorials where the same memorial appears to be assigned to two different people, and a similar search for family search IDs.

These searches do not necessarily find duplicate people records but they do return any records where the Find A Grave memorial associated with a record shows up on more than one record or a Family Search ID shows up on more than one record. So it should either show you duplicate people records or records that are erroneously recorded with the wrong find a grave memorial number or family search ID. I think the utility of this is pretty straightforward. Click on Search for people with the same find a grave memorial attached to more than one person below to run search.
