Search by Keyword Years, Keyword Categories, and Keyword Countries (and other Geographical entities)
This search replaces the original keyword search screen, which had gotten too unwieldy since there were over 200 keywords and I was adding new ones fairly frequently. I was going to archive that search but apparently when I was modifying the keywords table to make the new search work I broke the old search. So it is a moot point now.
For anyone who misses the original search, you can replicate it here by leaving the Year blank, choosing All Categories from the category pick list, and choosing All Countries from the country pick list. If you try that I believe you will see why I had to do something to make the list more manageable.
Be aware that the keyword "Year" field represents different types of information depending on the categories. For many of the categories it represents the beginning year (if known) of a group, award, honor, society, etc. For disasters, battles, and discrete events, the year is the year the event happened. In the case of ships that sunk, I may note the year the ship was launched, but the keyword date will always refer to the loss date (such as 1945 for the cruiser USS Indianapolis).
