Job Barton 1821 - (1880-1900)
Job Barton was born ca. 1821 in Posey County, Indiana, USA. His parents were Samuel Barton (1788 - 1839) and Jane Downen Barton (ca. 1792 - 1821). Some census records and family trees list his birth year as much as three years later, but this seems unlikely as his mother died around 1821. It seems a certainty that Jane Downen was Job's mother, and not Samuel's second wife Mary McMahon, as Job appears to be named after his maternal grandfather Job Downen (1768 - 1842).
He married Caledonia Parks on 12 November 1861 in Posey County. They had the following children:

Mary Barton (1863 - 1918)
Margaret Barton (1864 - 1886)
Willis Sherman Barton (1866 - Unknown)
John H. Barton (1872 - 1956)

As of the 1860 census, Job was living with his half brother Ira and Ira's family in White County, Illinois, USA (census image here)
As of the 1880 census, Job and Caledonia lived in Lynn Township, Posey County, Indiana, USA (census image here)
Job died between 29 June 1880 and 15 June 1900. I have been unable to find him in the Indiana death records which were recorded beginning in 1882, nor have I been able to find his name listed in any of the cemetery records for Posey County, although at least one of his children is buried in the Kissick or Downen Cemetery in Posey County.
