Sarah Downen was born ca. 1864 in Posey County, Indiana, USA, the daughter of William Downen and Rutha Maria Gwaltney Downen.
She married Millard Bolen on 25 October 1885 in Posey County. No children are known to have been born to this marriage.

Sarah's mother Rutha died in 1874, but her father William and she and several of her siblings showed up in the 1880 census in Mount Vernon in Posey County. (census image here)
Sarah showed up once more in the historical record, as the marriage records of Posey County indicated that she married Millard Bolen in 1885. After that the trail goes cold. I have found her husband Millard (1853-1900) buried in Old Cottonwood Cemetery in Gallatin County, Illinois, but I have found no trace of Sarah's death or burial. Most of her family is buried in Posey County or Gallatin County, although one brother is buried in Fresno, California.
