Sarah Stallings
Sarah was the daughter of Timothy Downen (1830-1927) and Mary Keeling Powell Downen (1833-1894). She was born on 23 July 1868 in Posey County, Indiana, USA.
She married Jesse Nash Stallings (1861 - 1937) on 13 March 1887 in Posey County. They had the following child:

In 1880 Sarah was still living at home with an assortment of half-siblings on both the Downen and Powell sides as well as her parents, in addition to her brothers James and Marcus, and a daughter of one of her half-brothers (half-niece?). (census image here)
After her marriage to Jesse, the couple were found in the 1900 census in Center Township of Posey County, along with their eight year old daughter Hazelle. (census image here)
I don't know what brought them out, but by 1910 the family was in Lindsay, Tulare County, California. There is an interesting error in Ancestry.com's database of this census. It appears to show the Stallings family twice, once in District 193 Page 28 of the Lindsay census, and again in District 193 Page 58. It is some kind of glitch in the Ancestry database, the one on page 28 is correct, the family on page 58 that is supposed to be the Stallings is some other family. I will report this to them when I get around to it but I'm not quite sure how to describe the error to Ancestry. (census image here)
By 1920 Hazell had married Roy Fox and the two of them were still living in Lindsay, but Sarah and Jesse had moved to Strathmore in Tulare County, which is where they showed up in the census that year. (census image here)
By 1930 Sarah and Jesse as well as Hazelle and Roy had moved to Santa Cruz, California. (census image here)
I can't tell for sure since their deaths were too early to show up in the online California Death Index, but I suspect that Sarah and Jesse both died in Santa Cruz County. Sarah died on 8 March 1936 and Jesse died a little over a year later in 1937. I have been unable to ascertain where they are buried but I would imagine it's not far from Santa Cruz.
Hazelle's husband Roy died in 1965 in Tulare County and Hazelle herself died in 1979 in Santa Cruz County, but I haven't been able to figure out where either of them are buried either. They had a son George who died in 2002 and I will do some research later on and see what I can find out about him.
