Date Modified Search

In version 9, search by Date Entered is still supported, but it is no longer the default Date search. When a search window is opened, instead of showing the keyed datacode category search options followed by Date Entered, the word Date follows the keyed datacode category search options.  When the Date search window is opened, the search type will default to Date Modified, but this can be clicked on to change it to Date Entered.

For the most part the Date Modified search will work just like the Date Entered search, but it adds the functionality of allowing you to search records by date ranges they were modified, instead of entered.

How to use the Date Modified search:

  1. Click the Search icon on the icon toolbar.

  2. Select Company, People or Job Order from the list of files to search and click OK.

  3. Within the Search by ... window. click the Date option on the left side.

  4. If you want to use the Date Modified search just as you would use the Date Entered search (i.e., to bring up all the people with specific datacodes) leave the date ranges blank.

  5. If you want to bring up a list of records edited on or after a specific date, type that date in the from date field (the blank field to the right of Date Modified and to the left of the word to).

  6. If you want to see records edited on or before a specific date, enter that date in the to date field (the blank field to the right of the word to and to the left of Incl Applicants and Incl Contacts).

  7. If you want to see records edited on a specific date, enter that date in the from date field and also enter it in the to date field.

  8. Fill out any datacodes or other criteria you want to match and click the Do Search button.

If you want to use the Date Entered search instead of Date Modified, just click on the Date Modified search type when you open the Date search window, and the search type will change from Date Modified to Date Entered.
