His record is garbled on the Forest Lawn website. There are two Aram Garabedians listed, one in Glendale and one in Hollywood Hills. They have put the death date for the one in Glendale on both records and the birth date for the one in Hollywood Hills on both records, making it look like they are the same person. I have the correct dates for both men in this database.

While researching the one in Glendale I came across another complication. I normally use Family Search as a research tool when working on different people. Because the Aram Garabedian in Glendale was born in Turkey, there is an automatic filter or utility in the family search database that has marked his record as confidential, even though he died in the 1960s. Here is a link to an article I wrote describing my discovery of this filter and my concerns over the use of it. Because of this "masking" of his record on Family Search I am moving over all the sources I have found to this record (what you are looking at) and most likely deleting the family search record for him in protest over these masking policies.

Son of Garabed Garabedian and Sylvia (AKA Selvinez) Khachadourian.

The NY immigration record from 1928 lists his birthplace as Koma, Turkey. Either the name is garbled or this place is so small or insignificant that I can't find any records of it. Another possibility is that the name has changed, but either way, I can't find any trace of it.

His Find A Grave memorial appears to have an incorrect birth year (there are two entries for him in the California Death Index, one with a birth year of 1909 and one with a birth year of 1910). All the other sources and his marker show a birth year of 1910.
