The Forest Lawn grave locator shows Frederick is buried with his wife, but the marker shows he is buried with his brother Samuel so I have adjusted his plot location accordingly assuming the marker is correct. His wife appears to actually be buried with Frederick's sister-in-law Grace, his brother Samuel's wife.

Frederick and his wife Mary were killed in a car accident in Arizona when their car was hit by a train. There are Los Angeles County records on Family Search that appear to link their deaths to Los Angeles County, but those are apparently records that showed their bodies coming to the county for burial, not records that show their death location in Arizona.

I found two articles in Arizona newspapers describing the accident that killed them: (both of these are on GenealogyBank, which is a subscription service, or you can use it for free in an LDS Family History Center once they reopen)

Williams News, Friday, Nov 04, 1921, Williams, AZ, Vol: 29, Page: 4

Arizona Champion, Friday, Nov 11, 1921, Flagstaff, AZ, Vol: 39, Page: 2

My guess with the placement of the graves is that Frederick and Mary were next to each other, and for some reason when his brother Samuel's wife Grace died five years later Samuel had her placed with Frederick's wife Mary, and when Samuel died in 1939 he was placed with Frederick. It is possible that Samuel wanted to be buried near his brother and there were no spaces available later so he elected to "recycle" the two spaces for his wife and himself.
