Mary Jane (Myers) SHIPPEN

SHIPPEN, Mary Jane (Myers) 88, passed away on 2 July 2013 in Santa Monica after residing there for 45 years. Born in Chicago Illinois on 6 August 1924; she was a beloved wife, mother to 8 and grandmother to 18. A Red Cross Nurse during World War II she graduated from Centre College of Danville, Kentucky in 1947. An accomplished ballet, jazz and flamenco dancer she expressed an essence of exuberant joy and love for life in all of her personal interactions. Surrounded by loving children and grandchildren she gently slipped into the great unknown after a short illness. She is survived by her eight children; Robert E. Lee (Michelle), Mary Jane, John Lee (Glenda), Mary Kathleen (Todd), Mary Louise (Virgil), Sarah Lee (Herb), Samuel James (Pam), Timothy Michael (Deborah). Catholic burial at: Forest Lawn Glendale, Thursday, 11 July 2013.
