Co-pilot of the Black Cat.

Some accounts list him as a 2nd Lieutenant but this may have been before a promotion.

A few sources list his name as Reagan not Regan. Most show him as Regan.

He was apparently a well enough known college basketball player that his death was published in the newspapers in a syndicated sports column, not as an obituary. This link to the Jersey Journal is the same one as above on the event listed as his "obituary published".

His service number was O-828526.

His profile on the CUNY website.

This is his page on the American Air Museum in Britain website (AAMIB is part of the Imperial War Museum, although it has it's own separate website).

I am a bit mystified that I can not find any record of a burial or a cenotaph for him on any of the official U.S. military burial websites. I checked both the V.A. and the ABMC sites with no luck, and also checked Arlington as well (although I do know there are people at Arlington who do not show up on their website). Considering all the other crew members who were KIA in the crash are present and accounted for, I'm mystified by the lack of an entry for him. I'm wondering if his name has been garbled in the records somehow. I checked under both Regan and Reagan with no luck. When I get a chance I will see if I can find my copy of Wings of Morning by Thomas Childers (nephew of Regan's crewmate Howard Goodner) and see if he has anything to say about what became of Regan's body.
