David's great-grandson Don Miller believed that David was buried on the land he and his family were farming in Sycamore Township in Montgomery County, Kansas. When his widow Sarah returned later with one or more of her boys (I would guess to put up a marker, although they may have intended on reinterring him), they were no longer able to locate where David was buried as the landmarks they were looking for were gone.

If Don's information is correct then David is buried in Montgomery County, but no one knows where. If his wife couldn't find the location and she had lived there, it's unlikely any of us will be able to figure it out. Barring someone finding his bones while doing some construction (and Montgomery County is still pretty rural even today) it's likely that David's burial location will never be found.

On the plus side, while I was in Montgomery County trying to find out more about David Miller I was put in touch with Don Miller, who plugged all kinds of gaps in my knowledge of David's family. So, as they say, it's an ill wind that blows no good.

In addition to the children who are linked to David, there was a daughter Rebecca who was born in 1858 in Indiana. She supposedly married a guy named Joseph Gilbert Ross in 1875 and died in 1876. I'm still looking for more information about her.

There was also a son named Henry B. Miller born in 1867 in Indiana. It sounds like he had a falling out with his family and I have no idea what became of him after 1880. I'm also looking for more information on him.
