Stewart is not referenced by name in the "X Files" episode below, but his photograph (the same photograph as above) is used to represent the fictional character "Sullivan Biddle" who is killed fighting for the Confederate Army in Tennessee in 1863.

Information below is from the Mike Medhurst collectibles site, which as of May 2022 has Stewart's commission as a Lieutenant Colonel for sale for $750.00.
